IMPORTANT REMINDERS

HURRICANE INVITE: Riptide swimmers rocked the pool this weekend at the Hurricane Invite! The results are loaded into TU and SWIMS. Way to go everyone!!!

LAST CHANCE INVITE: We will have most of the important details posted on our meet page by this Wednesday. This is a large meet with four visiting teams attending. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to help on Saturday. You are the best!

PRACTICES ON SATURDAY: Because of the Last Chance Invite on Saturday, we are combining practices for swimmers not competing in the meet. Gold, Junior Select, Senior Prep and Senior swimmers will practice 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the 8 lane pool. There will be no dryland practice.

REGISTRATION / BILLING REMINDERS: Riptide follows the USA Swimming calendar to the end of each season. Riptide Swim Team divides the amount of income necessary to sustain its operations over 10.5 billing months. Riptide does not practice the entire month of August or a portion of March depending on when the championship meets occur. Swimmer's seasons may end sooner based on their season performance. Riptide will not prorate for swimmers concluding their seasons prior to the state meets, including portions of February, March, and July.

Short Course Cancellation and Commitment

Short course season runs September to March. Swimmers may withdraw from the program until December 31.  After December 31, swimmers will be billed for dues on the 1st of every month for the remaining 3 months regardless of attendance. A 30-day notice must be provided to avoid paying the next month’s dues. We stop accepting new swimmers at this time and lock in our schedules/coaching staff based on enrollment. Swimmers providing a doctor’s note may be credited dues for up to 60 days to use for a future season. Outstanding meet fees for committed meets will be billed regardless of the cancellation reason and will not be credited. No refunds will be provided.

Long Course Cancellation and Commitment

Long Course Season runs April to August. Swimmers participating in Long Course agree to participate for the entire season. Long course pools in Northfield, Bloomington and the University of Minnesota are booked in April based on enrollment and pool schedules/staffing are planned based on enrollment. Swimmers providing a doctor’s note may be credited dues for up to 60 days to use for a future season. Outstanding meet fees for committed meets will be billed regardless of the cancellation reason and will not be credited. No refunds will be provided.
