- End of Season Championships – If you have any questions regarding end of season meets, please contact your swimmer’s lead coach. We are here to guide you in this swimming journey!
- MAC News – The MN Achievement Championships are this coming weekend in Edina. We are awaiting the meet details from the meet director. Stay tuned for more news!
- Practice Changes – There is a location change for the Senior Elite (7-lane group) for this Saturday (7/9). Practice will be held at BWAC from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. The Bloomington pool is closed for a swim meet.
- FLEX SWIM: This dynamic three-week session provides a fantastic opportunity for your swimmer to stay in shape and continue swimming for the month of August. Swimmers will continue developing physical, mental and social skills through this training putting an emphasis on Stroke Technique, Starts & Turns, Cardiovascular Development, Endurance and Conditioning. Registration is now open. Please note we offer a separate registration for two weeks participation as some families are traveling and are not able to make it to the three weeks program. - Welcome Dryland Coach Ronnie: Coach Ronnie will be helping Riptide with dryland training and conditioning. Please check out his bio below: I grew up in New York/ New Jersey area. In 2006 I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University. I started my own business in January 2019 called "Ronnie Workouts" coaching and mentoring a variety of clients and beginner trainers/coaches.My strength and conditioning training experience ranges from collegiate athletes to working with middle school athletes, high school athletes, military service men, police officers, mixed martial arts athletes, rehabilitation patients and individuals who are looking to improve their overall healthy living. I am very excited to join the Riptide team and offer a quality and safe environment for any athlete that walks through our doors!
- 5 Day Clinic: We are offering a 5 Day clinic on August 2-6. Please see the schedule below. For more information and registration please visit our website. Please note each session will be open to the first 7 swimmers only. Information on the waiting list and a single day option is also listed with the clinic description on our website. If you have any questions please contact Coach Olga. Clinic Schedule: Day 1- Backstroke start / Day 2- Diving off the block / Day 3- IM transitions / Day 4- Technique day for Butterfly and Breaststroke / Day 5- Dryland and Conditioning with Coach Ronnie Cordova.

- Questions – If you have any questions regarding your swimmer, meets, clinics, practices etc. please contact your swimmer’s lead coach in order to get the quickest, most accurate and helpful response (see the list below). - Stroke and Turn Officials - Anyone interested in learning to become a USA Swimming Stroke and Turn Official - please contact Wendy Peterson at [email protected].
- Summer Storms – For all outdoor practices this summer, we will notify families 1 hour before the start of practice. Additionally, we have back-up indoor practice time scheduled in case we get stormed out. We encourage all Riptide families to allow coaches to use the texting option in your Team Unify account.
- COVID – Positive case numbers have been going up these last few weeks. Please be extra vigilant in terms of monitoring your children and testing. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should swimmers exhibiting symptoms associated with Covid-19 and/or with a fever of 100.4 or higher attend practices. Please work together to reduce the risk of infection.
- Current Covid Protocols: Positive Test - return on day 10 regardless of vaccination status provided person is symptom free. Close Contact Exposure or live with someone who is positive: Unvaccinated - Return on day 7 with a negative test taken on day 5 or later OR return on day 10 without a test. Vaccinated - Return on day 5 or later with a negative test 5+ days after exposure.
- Private Lessons - Riptide Coaches are offering 30 and 60 minute private lessons. If your swimmer is interested, either contact your lead coach directly or [email protected].
- Adult Swim Training & Private Lessons - Group Training Sessions for Triathletes and Masters; Group Beginner Adult Lessons; and Individual and Small Group Lessons – will resume at the end of June as the schedule changes for the summer months.
