  • MNSI Senior Championships – Riptide swimmers had an outstanding four days of racing coming away with a decisive win Sunday night at the Senior Championships!!! Congratulations to all of our swimmers and coaches. Riptide had six high point winners: Tate Dihel, Marc Heide (Distance), Megan Hutchins, Tessa Lindstrom (Distance), Haakon Naughton and Paige Steenblock (Distance). Thank you to all of our parents who volunteered in various capacities (officiating, timing, check-in etc.). Way to go everyone!
  • MNSI 14&U Championships – The 14&U Age Group State meet begins Thursday, July 28 in Rochester. Riptide is sending 56 swimmers to the meet! More details will be posted on our meet page as soon as they become available.
  • Speedo Junior Championships – Riptide has three swimmers attending Junior Nationals in Irvine, California: Matthew Mortenson, Ella Passe and Matthew Warweg. The meet begins the first week of August. Good luck to everyone at Nationals!!!
  • Flex Swim:  The registration deadline is approaching on Wednesday July 27. Please register soon if your swimmer  is planning to attend. No registrations will be accepted after the deadline. 
  • Back to Racing Private Special:  We have only 6 spots left for the private special. If you are planning on taking an advantage of this special please sign up before it’s gone.  
  • Group Move Announcement Date: Group moves will be communicated to families by July 29.
  • Short Course Season – The short course season begins September 12. We do not anticipate any major schedule changes from last short course season.

Regular Reminders

  • Questions – If you have any questions regarding your swimmer, meets, clinics, practices etc. please contact your swimmer’s lead coach in order to get the quickest, most accurate and helpful response (see the list below). The coaches are here to help your child in all areas of their swimming. Make sure to reach out to them! If you have a billing question, contact Cara Pavek – [email protected]
  • Stroke and Turn Officials - Anyone interested in learning to become a USA Swimming Stroke and Turn Official - please contact Wendy Peterson at [email protected].  
  • Clinic Reminders – Clinic registration can only be done through our website. Do not register for clinics using the TU App. Make sure to read the description for clinics and register your swimmer with the correct roster. Your swimmer will not always be in the same session; it will depend on the clinic roster combinations.
  • COVID – Positive case numbers have been going up these last few weeks. Please be extra vigilant in terms of monitoring your children and testing. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should swimmers exhibiting symptoms associated with Covid-19 and/or with a fever of 100.4 or higher attend practices. Please work together to reduce the risk of infection.
  • Current Covid Protocols: Positive Test - return on day 10 regardless of vaccination status provided person is symptom free. Close Contact Exposure or live with someone who is positive: Unvaccinated - Return on day 7 with a negative test taken on day 5 or later OR return on day 10 without a test. Vaccinated - Return on day 5 or later with a negative test 5+ days after exposure. 
  • Private Lessons - Riptide Coaches are offering 30 and 60 minute private lessons. If your swimmer is interested, either contact your lead coach directly or [email protected].
  • Adult Swim Training & Private Lessons - Group Training Sessions for Triathletes and Masters; Group Beginner Adult Lessons; and Individual and Small Group Lessons – will resume at the end of June as the schedule changes for the summer months. For more information – contact Michelle Hopewell at [email protected].
