  • Riptide Zone Team Qualifiers – The following swimmers competed for Team Minnesota the Central Zone 14&U Long Course Championships held at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center August 4-7: Franny Anderson, Will Curran, Kathryn Deeb, Isla George, Jase Hansen, Marian Kalweit, Caroline Mulrooney, Will Redetzke and Paige Turnbow. Congratulations to our swimmers who placed in the top 16 and helped earn points for Team Minnesota: Franny, Caroline, Patrick, Kathryn, Jase, Marian, Paige and Will.
  • Speedo Junior Championships – Riptide had three swimmers attending Speedo Junior Nationals in Irvine, California August 1-5: Matthew Mortenson, Ella Passe and Matthew Warweg. Matthew Mortenson placed 16th in the 400 I.M. Congratulations to all of our swimmers who competed at this national level meet.
  • Short Course Season – The short course season begins September 12. We do not anticipate any major schedule changes from last short course season.
  • Registration Update – There will be two registration periods this year. The first one will be on Team Unify and the second on USA Swimming’s website. We will have more information and links that will be sent to all families soon. Thank you for your patience.

  • Questions – If you have any questions regarding your swimmer, meets, clinics, practices etc. please contact your swimmer’s lead coach in order to get the quickest, most accurate and helpful response (see the list below).   • Stroke and Turn Officials - Anyone interested in learning to become a USA Swimming Stroke and Turn Official - please contact Wendy Peterson at [email protected].  
  • Private Lessons - Riptide Coaches are offering 30 and 60 minute private lessons. If your swimmer is interested, either contact your lead coach directly or [email protected].
  • Adult Swim Training & Private Lessons - Group Training Sessions for Triathletes and Masters; Group Beginner Adult Lessons; and Individual and Small Group Lessons – will resume at the end of June as the schedule changes for the summer months. For more information – contact Michelle Hopewell at [email protected].
