Latest Information

  • Important Registration Reminders – Riptide team registration begins on August 22nd for the 2022-2023 Short Course Season. Early registration ensures access to the appropriate training group and practice days for your swimmer. USA Swimming changed their process this year. In addition to registering for a team (like Riptide), athletes must now also register directly with USA Swimming. (In the past, Riptide collected this fee and registered all swimmers to simplify the process for each family. This is no longer allowed). USA Swimming registration is expected to open on September 1st, 2022. We will provide additional information and a link as they become available. Note below that this registration step will be time sensitive. All swimmers must be registered with USA Swimming before entering the water on the first day of practice.   USA Swimming insurance and Safe Sport protection strictly require athletes to register with USA Swimming before they begin practicing. (If your swimmer is registered for Riptide but not USA Swimming, we are not permitted to allow them to swim.) Please set a reminder for the September 1st registration for USA Swimming.  
  • Short Course Season – The short course season begins September 12th. We do not anticipate any major schedule changes from last short course season. TU group practice calendars will be posted shortly. If you have any questions, reach out to your swimmer’s lead coach (see below).
  • Save the Date – We are planning group Parents’ Meetings for Saturday, September 17th. Stay tuned for specific details!
  • Riptide Meet Schedule – Our preliminary meet schedule will be posted on the website by the end of this week.
  • NEW Parent Volunteer Committee - Being on a swim team can give kids many benefits and be incredibly rewarding! It gives them the chance to be part of a team, build trust and friendship, improve skills, get consistent physical activity, set and strive for goals, and have a ton of fun! We have lots of exciting events planned for our team this upcoming year and we cannot do it without your help! We are happy to announce that we will have a Parent Volunteer Committee that will consist of three representatives from each group to help out with organizing fun events, mentor new families, and help with t-shirt distributions. Group representatives will be working closely with Coach Olga to provide help in organizing a memorable environment to our swimmers and support our new families. This committee will be re-selected every SEASON. The same individuals can be re-selected only twice in two consecutive seasons. Please fill out this form by August 25th if you are interested and would like to be considered.   • Adult Swim Training & Private Lessons - Group Training Sessions for Triathletes and Masters will resume after Labor Day. Group Beginner Adult Lessons, Individual and Small Group Lessons – will also resume at the beginning of September or Private Lessons can be scheduled the last weeks in August. For more information – contact Michelle Hopewell at [email protected].

  • Questions – If you have any questions regarding your swimmer, meets, clinics, practices etc. please contact your swimmer’s lead coach in order to get the quickest, most accurate and helpful response (see the list below).   • Stroke and Turn Officials - Anyone interested in learning to become a USA Swimming Stroke and Turn Official - please contact Wendy Peterson at [email protected].  
  • Private Lessons - Riptide Coaches are offering 30 and 60 minute private lessons. If your swimmer is interested, either contact your lead coach directly or [email protected].
