Latest Information

  • Important USA Swimming Registration Reminders: As you probably already know, USA Swimming changed their process this year. Athletes, coaches and officials must now register directly with USA Swimming. In the past, Riptide collected this fee and registered all swimmers. You must take care of this important task before your swimmer attends their first practice. If you need help with this process, we are planning to have a few parent volunteers set up to help you register during the ALL TEAM MEETING. Bring your laptop!
  • All Team Meeting – Monday, September 12th: We will hold an All Team Meeting for our swimmers and coaches TODAY, September 12th at 5:00 p.m. at BWAC. Our swimmers will be sitting in the bleachers by age group (new plan). The coaching staff will help swimmers find where they need to go. After the full team meeting, lead and assistant coaches will have their groups go to different areas of the building or outside to meet with the swimmers. Please have your swimmer wear the Top Gun Championship shirt or a plain grey t-shirt (no writing).
  • Riptide Intrasquad Meet: We strongly encourage all swimmers to register for our season opening intrasquad meet on October 1st. The deadline to register is September 19th. Swimmers will be divided into three teams – Blue, Green and White. This is a fun way to start the season and build our team pride!
  • Mark Your Calendars: We will offer four Q&A sessions to help answer any questions you have about how the team works, our website, where to find the answers to your questions and much more. All sessions will be held in the upstairs meeting room from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.: September 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th.
  • Riptide Practice Schedule: Be sure you are aware of the practice schedule for your swimmer. You can find the practice schedules on our website.
  • Meat and Greet on September 17th: The sign-up deadline has passed. More details on the day’s events will be out soon.
  • Adult Swim Training & Private Lessons - Group Beginner Adult Lessons, Individual and Small Group Lessons – will resume at the beginning of September. For more information – contact Michelle Hopewell at [email protected].

  • Questions – If you have any questions regarding your swimmer, meets, clinics, practices etc. please contact your swimmer’s lead coach in order to get the quickest, most accurate and helpful response (see the list below).   • Stroke and Turn Officials - Anyone interested in learning to become a USA Swimming Stroke and Turn Official - please contact Wendy Peterson at [email protected].  
  • Private Lessons - Riptide Coaches are offering 30 and 60 minute private lessons. If your swimmer is interested, either contact your lead coach directly or [email protected].
