Riptide Weekly News – November 7, 2022
Latest Information
- Riptide Distance Invite: Thank you to everyone who helped out to run our teeny tiny distance meet on Saturday. We had a slew of swimmers trying new events and everyone did a fantastic job! The results are now loaded into TU and SWIMS.
- Practice Changes for this Wednesday and Friday: All afternoon and evening practices will be held at various middle school pools due to the 3AA Girls’ High School Section meet being run at BWAC. The practices times and sites are listed on our TU calendars and posted on our TU Team Feed. We have also attached a PDF with the schedule. There will be no dryland practices offered on those days. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s lead coach.
- Practice Changes for Saturday: There will be no practice for Gold, Junior Select, Senior Prep and Senior due to our meet.
- Riptide Fall Festival Meet: We are thrilled to finally have a few visiting teams for our meet this Saturday! It looks like almost all of the jobs have been filled so thank you. The timeline and meet programs should be up on our meet page no later than Wednesday.
- Remembering Coach Sean Maguire: If your child had Sean as a coach at either the Swim School or at Riptide, please take some time to write down your memories. We have a box with “Act of Kindness” forms to fill out on a table in the lobby. Help us to give Sean’s family these memories of kindness and to know that their son truly did make a difference. Thank you!
- Upcoming Meet Deadlines: 14&U Single Age Group State Championship - Nov. 7th, Riptide Jingle Bell Invite – Nov. 21st, Riptide Chilly Dip – Nov. 28th. If you have any questions, reach out to your swimmer’s lead coach.
- Important Meet Fee Billing Reminder: Please read over these long standing policies.
- Parents are required to pay their swimmer's meet entry fees. These fees are specifically highlighted in the meet information section for ALL meets. Riptide pays meet fees prior to the meet start date. Riptide then collects these fees from parents after the meet has concluded.
- Once the meet deadline passes, meet fees are non-refundable. If a swimmer is a no show or scratches after the deadline, the meet fees will still be charged to the swimmer's account. It is imperative that all families follow the meet entry accept/decline process.
- Meet fees are invoiced and posted to all accounts within 1 week after the completion of a meet. All charges will be processed with the automatic credit card processing on the first of each month.
- Thank You: We would like to thank our swimmers for their commitment and hard work! Riptide will provide pizza for the Senior and Senior Prep groups on Nov. 17thand all of the other groups on Nov. 18th after their practices. We are looking for a few volunteers to pick up pizzas and help serving. If you are able to help out, please sign up using this link.
- New Riptide Towel Order: We are doing another order for Riptide custom towels. We do a custom towel every 3-4 years with a different design. Size is 34 x 60 and the cost is $42 or $45 with a customized name. This order is not through Elsmore, so you are not able to purchase these towels after the order date. The towel is up on the team page now ready to order - https://elsmoreswim.com/teams/minnesota/clubs/riptide.html Ordering will close on Nov. 15th.
