Important Reminders

  • Valentine Splash Invite News: Please check out our meet page for the latest information. Changes had to be made to the meet format on Saturday due to time constraints.
  • Practices on Saturday: No practices this Saturday (2/4) with the exception of Senior Elite.
  • Meet Deadlines: The Riptide Bronze Classic deadline has been extended to January 31st. This is an excellent meet for newer swimmers to the sport. If you have any questions, please reach out to your swimmer’s lead coach.
  • Muddy Dash: Join us in creating memorable experience for our team! Let’s conquer the obstacles together while running through the mud! Please register early while the rates are low. We encourage parents to participate as well, however we have enough adults as of now to go with the groups of kids that are under 14 years old if a parent is not able to participate.   • Team Bowling: The bowling outing was a success! Special thank you to our Parent Committee representatives -Andrea Seitz, Joni Jennen and Mandy Wetrosky for organizing and all of the parent chaperones for helping with this event! The comment we got from the staff at the bowling alley: “This is the most well behaved group of kids we have ever had for the private event!” We are very proud of our swimmers - Way to Go Everyone! Pictures are now posted on TU.
  • Action Shots: Our photographer, Brendon Stuckey, will be offering professional shots of your swimmers at our Valentine Splash meet. For the swimmers signed up, he will shoot all of their races for that session and create a personalized photo gallery.   Parents can then choose to purchase all the photos from the gallery for $25. He will generously donate 50% of the proceeds to a fundraiser for the club banquet. Please sign up here if interested. 
  • Splash Night: We have only 10 spots left for the Splash Night on February 11th. We will play a Jeopardy game and have a Water Rock Paper scissors Tournament, followed by an open swim. Every swimmer will receive a snack bag. Please note the location for this Splash night is Wise swim school in Lakeville.  Please register via our website if your swimmer is interested. 
  • Mock Meet: The Riptide Mock Meet was a great opportunity for our swimmers to try new events and train our new members of the Riptide meet management team.  Thank you to our parents who stepped up to learn these important jobs. Thank you also to Jen Kindseth, Wendy Peterson and Eric Vogen for lending their experience to help new parents learn the ropes. You are all committed to helping Riptide continue to run successful meets!

  • Free Nutrition Workshop: This is a friendly reminder that the registration for this great opportunity to learn about nutrition is coming up on January 24th. Please register on our events page if you are planning on attending. Both parents and swimmers are welcome! 
  • March Privates Special: We are offering a Privates Special in March. 30 minute session- $50(regular $65), 60 minute session- $90( regular $105). If you would like to take advantage of this special deal, please sign up here.
  • Adult Swim Training & Private Lessons: Group Training For Triathletes & Masters; Beginner Adult Swim Classes; Individual and Small Group Lessons going on now! For more information –contact [email protected].
