IMPORTANT REMINDERS

MOR ATLANTIC INVITE: Congratulations to our Senior Elite swimmers who traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina for the MOR Atlantic Invitational. Riptide swimmers had a ton of best times at the meet and a ton of fun in Raleigh where they were able to visit the campuses of both Duke University and NC State during their off time from the meet. 

HAST IMX INVITE: We had a strong presence at the HAST IMX meet this past weekend! Riptide swimmers had a high percentage of early season best times among all practice groups. We had two high point winners at the meet – Morgan Simmes (9-10 girls) and Anh-na Le (11-12 girls). Way to go everyone!!! The results have been loaded into SWIMS and TU.

RIPTIDE TURKEY CLASSIC: Thank you to everyone who joined our new USA Swimming Turkey Classic Block Party meet on Nov. 30th. Registration is still open! Stay tuned for more details.

HIGH SCHOOL STATE: Congratulations to our Riptide swimmers who competed at their High School State Championships this past weekend!!! We look forward to seeing everyone soon.

10&UNDER RACE CLUB: Coach Olga and coach Amy are working with the coaching staff at the Foxjets Swim Club to run a series of fun practices focused on a segment of our 8&U and 9-10 year-old swimmers. The partnership involves a rotating schedule in which 10&U swimmers visit the other team’s facility for practices led by the coaching staff at their home pool. The practices will include swimming (of course), fun races, relays as well as games. Each session wraps up with a social event to promote friendships between the two teams. The goal of the program is to build confidence, foster friendships, and encourage personal growth both in and out of the pool. The qualifying requirement for the 8&Under group is to have at least one Silver time. For our 9-10 year old swimmers, they must have at least one Gold time. In addition, we are inviting any 9 year olds who qualified for the 2024 L.C. 10&U Championships as an 8 year old. Invitations will go out soon. For more information, contact coach Amy or coach Olga.

  • FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN: Please consider taking part in this charitable event on November 30th, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Eagen location.

  • FUN CAP FRIDAYS: Riptide swimmers are expected to wear a Riptide team swim cap at all practices except Fridays. Now you can wear your favorite fun cap on Fridays! 😊
  • THANKSGIVING PRACTICE CHANGES: There will be no practices held on Thursday, Nov. 28th apart from Senior Elite. They will practice 7-9 a.m. in the 7 lane pool. On Friday, Nov. 29th all groups are off except for Senior Elite and Junior Select. Senior Elite will practice 7-9:30 a.m. in both pools and Junior Select will practice 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Adult Swim Training & Private Lessons: Group Training for Triathletes & Masters; Beginner Adult Swim Classes; Individual and Small Group Lessons going on now! For more information β€“contact [email protected].
  • Private Lessons: Riptide Coaches offer 30 and 60 minute private lessons. If your swimmer is interested, contact your lead coach directly and they can help you out or recommend another coach on our staff.
