IMPORTANT REMINDERS

SPEEDO WINTER JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS: Riptide swimmers Patrick Curran and Caroline Mulrooney competed at the Speedo Winter Junior Championships in Austin, Texas Dec. 11-14. Congratulations to both swimmers for their performance at this national level competition!

SCSC WINTER CARNIVAL INVITE: Congratulations to our swimmers who competed this past weekend at the SCSC Invite. Riptide swimmers achieved a high percentage of best times and new swims. Results are loaded in TU and SWIMS. Way to go everyone!

10&U RACE CLUB: Riptide is hosting a special event with selected 10&U swimmers from both Riptide and Foxjet Swim Club this Friday from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Because of this event, there is no practice for the following groups: 8&U, Bronze, and Silver. Junior Select and Gold groups will have a dryland practice (no swim) in the Cage from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.

UGLY SWEATERS NEEDED: We are looking for some ugly holiday sweaters for this Friday’s special event. If you have one to donate, please leave it at the front desk. Thank you!

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE: There is no practice on Dec. 24, 25, 31, and Jan. 1 for all groups. The following groups do not have practice on Thursday, Dec. 26 – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Junior Select, Senior Prep, and Senior.

PRACTICE ON MONDAY, DEC. 30: We have adjusted practices on this date to allow the coaching staff to gather for their holiday party that evening. We will update our TU calendars. Here is the adjusted schedule:

  • 8&U – classroom fun from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Silver – 4:00 to 5:15 p.m.
  • Gold – 11:00 to 12:30 p.m.
  • Junior Select – 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Senior Prep and Senior – 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Senior Elite – 7:00 to 9:30 a.m.

USA SWIMMING 2025 REGISTRATION: All swimmers must be registered for 2025. Please take care of this important task this week if you have not done so already.

  • FUN CAP FRIDAYS: Riptide swimmers are expected to wear a Riptide team swim cap at all practices except Fridays. Now you can wear your favorite fun cap on Fridays! 😊
  • Adult Swim Training & Private Lessons: Group Training for Triathletes & Masters; Beginner Adult Swim Classes; Individual and Small Group Lessons going on now! For more information –contact [email protected].
  • Private Lessons: Riptide Coaches offer 30 and 60 minute private lessons. If your swimmer is interested, contact your lead coach directly and they can help you out or recommend another coach on our staff.
