IMPORTANT REMINDERS

IMPORTANT SAFE SPORT NEWS: Riptide has posted the newest version of the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy on our website. This policy was first introduced by USA Swimming in October 2024. The policy is effective as of January 1, 2025. Please take a few minutes to read the policy, any questions can be directed to your swimmer’s lead coach or Anne Knapp, Riptide Swim Team’s Safe Sport contact.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE: There is no practice on December 24, 25, 31, and Jan. 1 for all groups. The following groups do not have practice on Thursday, December 26 – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Junior Select, Senior Prep, and Senior. Happy Holidays to one and all!!!

PRACTICE ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 30: We have adjusted practices on this date to allow the coaching staff to gather for their holiday party that evening. We will update our TU calendars. Here is the adjusted schedule:

  • 8&U – classroom fun from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Silver – 4:00 to 5:15 p.m.
  • Gold – 11:00 to 12:30 p.m.
  • Junior Select – 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Senior Prep and Senior – 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Senior Elite – 7:00 to 9:30 a.m.

USA SWIMMING 2025 REGISTRATION: All swimmers must be registered for 2025. Please take care of this important task this week if you have not done so already.

  • QUESTIONS REGARDING PRACTICES AND SWIM MEETS: If you have questions regarding your child’s practices or swim meets, contact the lead coach for their group (see below).
  • QUESTIONS REGARDING BILLING AND REGISTRATION: If you have questions regarding billing and registration, reach out to Cara Pavek. Our contact information is listed below.
  • FUN CAP FRIDAYS: Riptide swimmers are expected to wear a Riptide team swim cap at all practices except Fridays. Now you can wear your favorite fun cap on Fridays! 😊
  • Adult Swim Training & Private Lessons: Group Training for Triathletes & Masters; Beginner Adult Swim Classes; Individual and Small Group Lessons going on now! For more information –contact [email protected].
  • Private Lessons: Riptide Coaches offer 30 and 60 minute private lessons. If your swimmer is interested, contact your lead coach directly and they can help you out or recommend another coach on our staff.
