IMPORTANT REMINDERS

SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS: Congratulations to our swimmers who competed at the MNSI Senior Championships held at the Jean Freeman Aquatic Center this past Thursday through Sunday. Riptide had 24 qualifiers for the meet and finished 5th in the combined team standings. We had several High Point award winners and two new Junior National qualifying times. Way to go everyone!!! We are waiting for the official results which should be available soon.

  • Overall High Point / Men – 3rd / Patrick Curran
  • Distance High Point / Men – 1st / Gabe Lenzen
  • Distance High Point / Women – 2nd / Stella Bushard
  • Distance High Point / Women – 3rd / Lily Sisson
  • Junior National Cut in the 1650 Free – Stella Bushard *first time qualifier
  • Junior National Cut in the 1000 Free – Caroline Mulrooney

10&U CHAMPIONSHIPS: Riptide sent 36 swimmers to the MNSI 10&U State Championships in Eden Prairie this past Saturday and Sunday. It was a super exciting meet with so many outstanding swims!!! Our young swimmers swam their hearts out and finished 2nd in the combined team standings. Congratulations to everyone!!!! The following Riptide swimmers placed in the top 10 individual high point standings:

  • 8&U Boys – 4th / Marcus Kalmi
  • 9-10 Boys – 6th / Ben Kohler
  • 9-10 Boys – 10th / Darren Schmidt

11-14 CHAMPIONSHIPS: Riptide swimmers are preparing for the last meet of the season that begins this Thursday at the U of M. GO RIPTIDE!!!

NEXT SEASON: The spring / summer long course season begins the week of April 7th. Look for information and “welcome letters” from the group lead coaches in the coming weeks. Feel free to reach out to your swimmer’s lead coach with any questions.

  • Private Lessons: Riptide Coaches offer 30 and 60 minute private lessons. If your swimmer is interested, contact your lead coach directly and they can help you out or recommend another coach on our staff.
