IMPORTANT REMINDERS

11-14 AGE GROUP STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS: Congratulations to our swimmers who competed at the 11-14 Age Group State Championships this past Thursday through Sunday. We have been waiting for the results and finally received them late last night. The final combined team standings had Riptide finishing 6th in a very competitive team race. In the women’s team standings, Riptide finished in first place! In the individual high point standings, Paige Turnbow tied for 3rd in the 11-12 age group and Marion Kalweit was 1st in the 13-14 age group. Several other Riptide swimmers finished in the top 10: 11-12 Anh-na Le 5th, Jase Hansen 5th; 13-14 Chandler Offerman and Alyce Gaffke 7th. Great job everyone! The meet management staff ran out of certain medals towards the end of the meet. Please let coach Amy know if you are missing any awards. We are so proud of our Riptide swimmers and their team spirit. Several officials commented on how impressed they were with the support our swimmers gave each other throughout the meet. Way to go everyone!

REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP NEWS: It took us a while to finally get the individual high point standings for the Regional meet, but we finally have them! Riptide swimmers dominated almost every age group. Check out the report sent out with the newsletter!

NEXT SEASON: The spring / summer long course season begins the week of April 7th. Look for information and “welcome letters” from the group lead coaches by the end of this week. Feel free to reach out to your swimmer’s lead coach with any questions.

PARENTS MEETINGS: We will hold parental meetings for all groups before the start of the season. Please make every effort to attend!
