LEAD SUMMIT IS BACK: Minnesota Swimming is thrilled to once again partner with Lead Sports Co. to bring the Lead Summit back to Minneapolis from August 14-17, 2026. We worked closely with LEAD to move the Summit earlier than its traditional Labor Day weekend timing, ensuring it won’t conflict with girls’ high school season or the Minnesota State Fair.
The Lead Summit is a leadership-retreat style experience designed specifically for teenage girl swimmers. Athletes spend four powerful days learning directly from Olympic legends, elite coaches, and industry experts: building confidence, strengthening mental skills, and gaining tools they can use both in and out of the pool.
The overnight Summit will be hosted at the Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis University Area, with athlete check-in on Friday, August 14 and check-out on Monday, August 17. A 1-day parent track and coaches track will also be offered on Sunday, August 16.
This high-impact weekend will feature keynotes and breakout sessions with:
- Lilly King, 3-time Olympian and world record holder, speaking on confidence, mental health, and enjoying the pursuit of big goals
- Coach Christen, internationally recognized confidence coach working with Olympians, NCAA athletes, and world-class performers
- Dr. Megan Cannon, licensed sport psychologist specializing in emotional health and peak performance
- Brittany Miller, Sports Nutrition expert, providing science-supported education to elevate swimmer performance
- And more speaker announcements are coming soon!
